Product photography is essential for many branding projects, especially in FMCG and CPG sectors. At Fluid, we partner with leading Australian photographers to help brands engage audiences and stand out.
Our process begins with a detailed photography brief. We outline props, lighting, and creative direction to ensure consistency with your brand.
We also create photography templates for stylists and photographers. These include packaging dimensions and markups so every shot aligns with the product’s final design.
Pre-Production
Preparation is critical for a smooth shoot. We hold a pre-production meeting with key stakeholders, including the client, creative director, and production team.
Together, we review run sheets, props, and staging plans. Product samples and props are prepared in advance to keep the process efficient.
Fluid ensures all Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are in place for safety, especially for on-site shoots or sessions involving talent.
On-Set Protocols
On shoot day, we start with a stakeholder meeting to confirm the brief and shot list.
We review OHS and SWMS protocols to maintain safety. As the shoot progresses, first-of-kind shots are reviewed live by the creative director and stakeholders.
Our Creative Director oversees the process to reduce the need for heavy retouching. This ensures photography captures the product’s best qualities from the outset.
Post-Production
After the shoot, we handle image selection and retouching. Final images are integrated into dieline layouts for packaging design review.
We produce colour proofs with our print partners, ensuring the visuals match brand strategy and design intent. Client feedback is incorporated before final approval.
Driving Impact
Fluid’s product photography combines strategy, creativity, and precision. We help brands showcase products in their best light, driving engagement and enhancing shelf presence.
Let us help your brand stand out with photography that’s visually impactful and carefully executed.
