At Fluid, we know effective packaging does more than look good—it grabs attention and communicates your brand’s values. Our packaging design process takes your product from concept to market, ensuring every detail is carefully crafted.

With over 20 years of experience in FMCG, we’ve delivered impactful designs for leading brands like Better Beer, Woodstock, Sam’s Pantry, and Black Swan. We tailor our process to fit the unique needs of every project.

1. Concept Briefing

We begin with a detailed briefing to define scope, goals, and timelines. We gather insights about your product and audience to ensure alignment from the start.

2. Concept Development

We conduct in-store reviews to understand the retail environment. We develop mockups, shelf shots, and territory boards to establish creative direction.

Our team explores concepts like BOP (Back of Pack) layouts and SRP (Shelf-Ready Packaging) to meet branding and production needs. We then present creative solutions to align with your vision and strategy.

3. Concept Refinement

We present initial designs for feedback. Working closely with your team, we refine concepts to ensure they align with your brand identity and goals.

4. Photography Intent

As we move forward, we develop a comprehensive photography brief that outlines the visual intent for the cameos or serving suggestions that will appear on pack. This includes specifying the desired aesthetic, props, and staging elements that will enhance the product presentation. We ensure that all stakeholders are aligned before the photography session, setting clear expectations for the shoot.

4. Photography Intent

We create a detailed photography brief covering aesthetics, props, and staging for on-pack images. This ensures all stakeholders are clear on expectations before the shoot.

5. Photography Execution

We hold stakeholder meetings to review the brief and shot list. Our team manages the shoot efficiently, ensuring safety and capturing the essence of your brand. Key shots are reviewed live to guarantee quality.

6. Design Production

Our files are built at 300dpi using FOGRA39L colour profiles. Our team reviews every detail, ensuring logos and images are properly scaled, colours are correct, and special finishes are clearly marked.

We deliver layered Adobe Illustrator files, with clear file naming and colour-matched photography. A signed proof ensures colour accuracy before final handover.
